This unit will place emphasis on how fashion is driven by a constant need to predict changing cultural trends and social patterns across strategic fashion industry sectors including product development retail and marketing. Trend Forecasting provides key insights into inspirational colour, material and styling. It also signposts the changing nature of the high street, retail environment and new emerging marketing trends.
In this unit you are asked to demonstrate an understanding of the methodologies usedto inform fashion trend development. You will be expected develop methods of research, analysis and formulation to create your own vision for a futureseason.
You will apply your theoretical knowledge to identify and define an appropriate trend conceptand demonstrate how visionary brands, product and marketing technology can be used to communicate this to target audiences.
